COVID Timeline in the USA

History Lived

You can see from the dates how and when this life destroying virus has gained more & more strength in the USA as the months and then weeks & finally just days passed.
Along the way, humanity has lost so much.

As the situation worsened, Americans became desensitized. "Someone else" getting sick or even dying, doesn't seem to phase many. Others assume that it could never happen to them. Numbers have become meaningless to most. There is also an enormous problem of a large segment of the population that embraces an alternate reality that helps the virus to thrive.

This is one gallery that I don't at all enjoy doing. I desperately hope that the final story has a good ending; with humanity - not the virus - winning. Originally, I didn't expect to have more than a half dozen photos (at most) to put in the gallery. Sadly, horrific events from the pandemic getting out-of-control have instead turned this into a large gallery.

Hopefully, this gallery will eventually have a happy ending.
Or at least as "happy" as things can be after all the deaths and suffering fade into history.
