"KANSAS CITY, Mo.: Kansas City hospitals seeing shortage of ventilators.
Treatments, morgue space are also scarce.
"In what feels like a flashback to mid-2020, Kansas City area hospitals are seeing a shortage in ventilators. With the surge in COVID-19 cases causing an influx of critically-ill patients, the equipment is once again being stretched thin. Dr. Kim Megow, chief medical officer at HCA Midwest, said her health system has 280 COVID-19 patients. Most hospital systems also mentioned shortages of monoclonal antibodies. One approved treatment is effective on the omicron variant, and it's become scarce.” KSHB News

Many people are still getting very sick.
Too many are still dying from COVID each and every day.
Despite what many have convinced themselves, COVID is not the same as "just a cold".
Even if you don't die, think about the possibility of having to live with Long COVID.
Get vaccinated!!! That will give you a better chance of surviving this pandemic that now seems to be the World's "new normal".

I've grown quite weary of these frequent reports of a Million new US cases each time.
Looking back to last Spring when things seemed to be improving, I really thought we'd be past the pandemic by now.
However, COVID seems to be here to stay. Dr Fauci predicts that about every American will eventually contract Omicron. Sadly however, not everyone will be able to "live" with it...
Vaccinations, masks, and social distancing are our best protection.
Get vaccinated and boostered!!!
Wear a mask when around others in public.
