“With the U.S. again hitting another one-day record on new confirmed Covid-19 cases, news comes from Trump aides that he may never concede.” MSNBC

President Donald Trump had predicted in almost every campaign rally that the media would stop talking about the coronavirus pandemic the day after the election. But as it turns out, no one is ignoring the worsening tragedy more than the President himself. Instead of taking charge as the country plunges deeper into the worst domestic crisis since World War II, Trump has disappeared inside the White House, CNN

“Dick and Liz Uihlein, billionaire owners of the large package company Uline and two of the Republican Party’s biggest donors, have tested postive for the coronavirus. Liz Uihlein, who with her husband is a prominent backer of President Donald Trump, has been critical of government restrictions issued in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. An election night party was held in the East Room of the White House on that day.Since then, several people who did attend that event have since tested positive for Covid-19.” CNBC

At least eight Republican National Committee staffers have contracted covid-19. The officials said the staffers were spread out between Washington and some of the committee’s field offices in states like Pennsylvania.Earlier on Thursday, the RNC disclosed that Richard Walters, the chief of staff for the Republican party, had the virus.” Washington Post

”As Georgia begins its laborious audit of the presidential race, its secretary of state (Republican) entered quarantine Thursday after his wife tested positive for the coronavirus” Washington post

“THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS After COVID Diagnosis, Nearly 1 In 5 Are Diagnosed With Mental Disorder. The risk was highest for anxiety disorders, insomnia, persistent foggy minds, memory problems and dementia.” NPR This includes COVID victims who were asymptomatic.

40.8 percent positivity rate in Missouri, Kansas also smashing records as numbers soar In Missouri, positivity rates for the previous seven days of testing rose to 40.8% as of today, Nov. 12. That’s higher than it’s ever been, including the peak 13.6% during the spring stay-at-home orders. KCTV

“Mid-Missouri hospitals continue to battle with rising COVID-19 cases; sending overflow to KC, STL The University of Kansas Health System announced today that hospitals are deferring surgeries to later dates in order to have enough beds. Leaders there said they believe the number of actual cases are even higher than numbers state due to asymptomatic carriers.” KCTV News

“Missouri changes school quarantine guidance. The state said close contacts no longer have to quarantine after being exposed to a COVID-19 case in Missouri schools. The state’s updated guidance deviates from the CDC’s guidance. The CDC’s website states close contacts (anyone who was within 6 feet for a total of 15 minutes with the COVID-19-positive person) should quarantine at home for 14 days after the last exposure – and that it doesn’t matter whether either person was wearing a mask.” In other words, the Missouri governor is helping the virus to spread... He (and many around him) have already had the virus themselves.

“Eighteen states, most of them in the Midwest, reported record numbers of hospitalizations on Thursday. Experts say the “catastrophic” surge in many conservative-leaning areas has its roots in a general distrust of the government that held back public officials from imposing stricter rules.” Washington Post

“‘Covid-hell.’ ‘Humanitarian disaster.’ Experts sound the alarm about U.S. coronavirus outbreak. warnings come amid widespread fatigue with restrictions, even as the virus is nowhere near finished rampaging across the country. While several states implemented new mitigation measures this week, many people have been letting down their guards or, in some cases, vowing outright to ignore the rules.” Washington Post

The news from outside “Stay-at-Home Social Isolation” is very grim today. Things are not expected to get better as we go deeper into late Fall and Winter.
