The 50 Million COVID Milestone in the USA happened today. The reported positivity rate for new COVID cases in Missouri has also jumped 2% in just the past 24 hours. Infection rates in Missouri have steadily been going up. On top of that, there are now also new state COVID-prevention prohibitions for schools & state health departments

“Missouri Ditches Covid-19 Measures After Court Ruling, Cease-And-Desist from Attorney General."
"Attorney general Eric Schmitt threatened local health departments and school districts with legal action if they didn't play ball. Schmitt, a staunch Republican running for U.S. Senate, has effectively declared war on the Missouri’s health departments and school systems over coronavirus precautions.” Gizmodo Health

"Eric Schmitt, the state’s attorney general, is running for the Senate and, as an essential part of his platform, he is coming out IN SUPPORT OF CONTAGION. McDonald County Health Department officials in southwest Missouri issued a statement 'We have talked to other health (departments) and several lawyers. The way it is written we are unable to enforce any public health orders therefore we cannot isolate positive cases.' Asked if it could order isolation for other illnesses, McDonald health officials wrote, 'We are unable to do that now as well.' The same is true for other health departments all over the state."
