Another Milestone
John Hopkins COVID-19 Dashboard: Totals: 80,057,126
But at least, this time, it took a month (not just a single day) to add another Million COVID infections. The United States is now back to the same level of new infections that the country was at in March/April 2020.
The good news is that this time, we have vaccines (for those who chose to get vaccinated) that can help limit deaths. The downside of the vaccines is that efficacy wans with time & another shot is then needed. Yesterday, a second COVID booster shot was approved by the CDC for the "most vulnerable": the immune compromised and seniors over 50 years of age.
