Another Deadly Milestone 12-13-20

A Sad Day in America

Husband, Wives, Mothers, Fathers, Sisters, Brothers, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Best Friends, Valued Acquaintances, the Famous, the not Famous, Loved Ones: All now gone because of this very contagious & cruel disease.

Back in the early Spring, I wrote "When asked how long I'd continue to report daily stats, I originally said until things reached 100,000. Looking back, I now wonder what 100,000 THAT will be..."

Truthfully, I never expected the pandemic to ever reach anywhere near where it has in the USA. I never expected anything about coronavirus in the USA to hit the 100,000 mark. Not even infection totals. As a country, we had an ability to save ourselves. But we didn't.

Here we are today with 16 Million reported infections in the USA, well over 100,000 Americans currently in the hospital, and now 300,000 Americans dead. Most of these deaths could have been prevented.

However, even with a vaccine on the horizon (that possibly could end the pandemic), the horror still continues to go on.

Yes, I am upset. This isn't about just statistics. This isn't a game. These are real lives being effected. I love my country. But I hate what the selfish and irrational behavior of so many has done to destroy it. I feel real grief for what we have lost. My heart goes out to those who have lost loved ones. My heart breaks for those who are now forever gone. This all didn't have to be.

Truly a "Sad Day" - my heart goes out to the bereaved, not only in America but around the world.

Indeed such a horrible thing and so many loved ones lost to it... many could have been avoided using common sense
