New Year's Day with 20 Million US Cases of COVID 1-01-21

Confirmed Cases COVID-19 to the USA

(CNN) “The US surpassed 20 million total recorded Covid-19 cases on Friday, hours after the country ushered in 2021 and left behind its deadliest month of the pandemic.
The nation also has set a Covid-19 hospitalization record for four straight days. The high counts are a grim reminder that even with 2020 behind us, the pandemic continues to ravage parts of the country. And some leaders warn the worst is still ahead.”

The Pandemic is out of control in the USA. There have been 6 Million Confirmed NEW coronavirus cases in less than 30 days... Hospitalizations and deaths follow infections.

So it is better to discuss the weather.

The first day of 2021 has also brought an ice and snow event to our area. Power is out to many, and there are car accidents all over the Metro. Meanwhile, I personally don’t understand why so many people are out driving around in an ice storm on New Years Day during a pandemic. To me, unless you are an essential worker, that sounds “crazy” on so many levels. But the retail stores are open and holiday sales are happening. And the roads are full of travelers.

Sticking to “Safer-at-Home” pandemic protocol & it being a holiday, we’re just remote observers. We’re not news makers.

Looks like a very heavy snowfall Liz, that number of 6 million Covid cases in less than 30 days is mind boggling! V

This is a wonderful winter scene...So sad US again passed another grim milestone (sigh)..
2020 turned out to be a totally unpredictable year for all of us and good riddance of it... so now, let us all be positive and cheery with shining aspirations as we embrace the new year...V

Looks like you got hammered. As to those (many) stupid people, what can I even say.
