"Jackson-Kane plateau" is the name I use to refer to the unnamed tilted landscape sitting between Jackson Hole to the northwest, Kane Springs Canyon to the southeast, and the Amasa Back Trail to the north. Its northern end is at the bottom of the tilt and is home to two mountain-biking trails (HyMasa Trail and Captain Ahab Trail) and a formation known as "The Whale." Its southern end, the high point, offers a nice view of Kane Springs Canyon, Hurrah Pass, and the Anticline Overlook. Access to the plateau is from the Amasa Back Trail. It is possible to hike from the Amasa Back Trail to the high point, but one section requires route-finding and basic scrambling.
