Layers upon layers... 20150426_1332


This westward view was photographed from the top of a cliff on Jackson-Kane plateau (my name for the landscape between Jackson Hole and Kane Springs Canyon).

At upper center is the dark tower Point 5822 (summit elevation in feet). To its right, at the far side of the "U" in the ridge, is the end point of a rim hike I made in 2014. To the left of the tower, in the background, is Dead Horse Point. Below all of that are the tiered potash evaporation ponds of Intrepid Potash.
