One good deed deserves another. So it was with the fins of southeast Poison Spider Mesa. My first visit had been very satisfying. This second visit was prompted by seeing on that first visit an area of fins that looked enticing. (The ninth image in this gallery shows the terrain that called to me.) Adding to the enticement was the hope of seeing “the Maw” a second time. The Maw is a long, narrow cleft in the rock that spooked me during my first visit.
I saw the Maw. It was not as spooky as it had been the first time.
