The "4922 plateau" is an obscure, tilted plateau near Moab on the eastern side of Culvert Canyon. It lies southeast of Jeep Arch (Gold Bar Arch) and north-northwest of Corona Arch. The name I use comes from an elevation shown on topographic maps: a high point at the plateau's upper (northeast) end is labeled "4922T." The only non-climbing access point is the upper end, where a short cliff requires a brief scramble to be surmounted. To see anything on the plateau one must surmount that cliff or hike over to the nearby Corona Arch domes. I imagine the plateau is seldom visited.
During my treks to the domes above Corona Arch I saw the plateau and heard it call to me, so I made a short reconnaissance trip in 2014 while on my way to the domes. That was enough to cement my interest. Detailed examination with Google Earth followed. In 2015 I explored most of the plateau, getting lovely views of Culvert Canyon, the Corona Arch domes, and neighboring terrain.
