The Baltics

On this tour of the Baltics plus Poland, only Lithuania was a new destination for me. I was in Poland in 2012, and Tallinn and Riga back in 2007. It was a solo trip then, covering a few cities in Northern Europe by myself. That was the time Tallinn impressed me tremendously with its well-kept medieval city walls and watch towers. And Riga, the various kinds of stunning architecture are simply fascinating. Eight years later, I still found these places very attractive.

Hi Denise, Your have unfolded the most fascinating and picturesque scene before me (the downside is that I keep asking myself, "Why should I need to go there myself to take pictures?"). National Geographic should regret for not sending their head hunters to approach you ten years ago!! Stanley

Again, I find your pictures beyond beautiful! I never heard of the cities of Riga and Tallinn, but know of the countries. The way you picture them, I now think they are worth my time!
