My Shanxi trip did not only cover Shanxi, it also stretched a little bit into the neighbouring Province of Henan (河南), meaning South of the Yellow River, as well as the Province of Hebei (河北), meaning North of the Yellow River. Like Shanxi, these provinces are both rich with culture and history values. In Henan, my tour visited Luoyang 洛陽, and Longmen Grottoes (龍門石窟). And in Hebei, the Eastern Qing Tombs (清東陵) and Chengde Mountain Resort ( 承德避暑山莊).
