Located 125 KM (78 miles) NE of Beijing in Hebei Province, the Eastern Qing Tombs (清東陵) are the largest and best preserved imperial mausoleum complex in China. They were built practically like real palaces in very bright colours, with an altar in front of each mausoleum (#06, 09 and 19). It's the final resting place for 5 famous emperors from the Qing Dynasty - Shunzhi Emperor 順治, Kangxi Emperor 康熙, Qianlong Emperor 乾隆, Xianfeng Emperor 咸豐 and Tongzhi Emperor 同治. There were also 15 empresses as well as many concubines, and a couple of princesses buried in the complex.
