China 2014

(Ever since I posted this album, I received a lot of emails from my American friends asking me what tour I took, as they were very impressed with the images. Thank you very much for your compliment and interest, but this (from Hangzhou to Shanghai) was a Mandarin-speaking tour, and they told me there's no English tour for the identical itinerary yet).

Though being born and raised in Hong Kong, with Cantonese as my first language and Mandarin the second one, it was the very first time I entered China.

Upon arrival at the Pudong Airport of Shanghai, since I'm not a Chinese Passport holder, I looked for the sign for "Visitors" or such. But, the sign I saw said "Foreigners". No matter how well prepared I was, I felt a little strange when I spoke to the immigration officer in Mandarin, showing her the tourist visa in my passport. She asked me, "Do you have family here?" I said, "No. I come to take pictures."

And here are the photos taken by this "foreigner".
