Lithuania was the only Baltic State that I had never been to before. My tour stayed in the capital Vilnius for only one and a half days. There wasn't enough time to go to the famous Hill of the Crosses as it was out of the way. After we checked into the hotel, most of my tour mates went on an optional tour to visit the KGB Museum, I decided to explore the peaceful Old Town by myself instead.

And during the free time on the second day, I went up the Gediminas' Castle Hill. There was a thunderstorm, which was unexpected, but also unexpected was the striking sight of the castle ruin against the dense dark clouds before it started to pour, with the 3 white crosses on a hill in the background suddenly became so clear and obvious for a few seconds (#51). At that moment I could consider myself witnessing another kind of miracle.
