Dance me through the panic, 'til I'm safely gathered in - 2007 diary

This year's title comes from the lyrics of a Leonard Cohen song - Dance me to the end of love. I don't know the song, but its lyrics are wonderful.

This is me, my hopes and dreams - honest and with little hidden. As always, no hiding, no flinching and no compromise.

It's now four whole years since I started this. There is no-one doing PAD who has achieve 4 years of continuous daily photography, either with or without a diary attached. Just because it's a diary first and foremost, don't be fooled into thinking it's not a valid PAD. There were only three people doing PADs when I started and all of them stopped at some point before reaching the four year point. This is not a PESO, just a daily record of being me.

To be perfectly honest I only ventured in here because of the gallery title. It's probably the most beautiful I've seen. Leonard Cohen. Of course. What's really amazing is that I'm a HUGE Leonard Cohen fan, and I don't know the song either!!! My trip was worth it. You've got an excellent body of work here - the best PAD gallery I've seen. I'm off to look up the song, and to paraphrase the great Mr Cohen: 'there ain't no cure for photography'....hey maybe I'll use that as a gallery title myself. Cheers Andrew

Congratulations on a wonderful achievement. After finding you in 'recent updates', I've been tied to the house for four days (bathroom renovation - that you'll understand) and have had the chance to look at all your photo diaries. Together with the undoubted photographic talent and the human interest of someone's life, I'm intrigued by the look at life in modern Britain (a place I left without regret 40 years ago), and the story of the relocation to a rural environment from an urban life (something I'm considering with retirement). We have visited friends living just south of Launceston and your comments on the beauty of the area do not exaggerate. Please answer two questions if you can and will. Did Jo escape her abusive relationship and did the 'failed' guide dog get adopted. I hope both answers are yes. Your site is now a must on my daily 'watch list'.

Just wanted to say how much I enjoy looking through your galleries, and especially these diary pages. I'm working my way through from the beginning (I'm only up to about July 2003 so far) and, like a good book, I can't put it down (if you can put a web-page down!). Do keep up the good work!
