The Pantanal is situated in the middle of South America and is the world’s largest wetland and is host to an enormous amount of wildlife. During the dry season, when we run this trip, the water disappears fast creating a huge savanna with scattered water holes that become amazing concentrations of birds and other wildlife. The habitat isn’t the most diverse so this isn’t a place where one would expect to build a huge list of sighted species but what is present is generally present in large numbers making it a paradise for photographers.
