We see a good number of feral Monk Parakeets around the Houston area so it is a pretty familiar bird for me but it was quite exciting to see them in their native habitat down in the Pantanal. This one was in a small flock that was feeding along the edge of a water hole. They were so bus eating that I was able to get quite close for a good photo.
