This Gallery is dedicated to one of my favorite foods, the Reuben Sandwich. While there are several foods that I enjoy a great deal, like pizza, carne asada/seca burros/chimichangas and Sonoran Hot Dogs, they have lots of "allowed" variations. Not so with the Reuben. At least from my point of view. A Reuben is made using Corned Beef (not pastrami or turkey or any other meat), sauerkraut, Swiss Cheese, some sort of thousand island/Russian sauce/dressing and served on rye bread with a good dill pickle. It should come with fries or chips (probably healthier choices are available but this is not a time to worry about eating healthy), and I like to add a little bit of yellow mustard on mine. A pretty straightforward formula, but not always very well executed. I decided I would use the "Reuben Review" as a way to document my culinary adventures. Obviously my tastes are going to different than yours, but at least this gallery can give me an excuse to try Reubens and make it easier for me to order off the menu. The lighting is not typically very good but I do the best I can. Please feel free to offer up your suggestions on who you think has a great Reuben! I am not trying to make this a Yelp type of review and comment about service or atmosphere.
(This Reuben was from the Philadelphia Airport Doubletree Inn)
