My oldest son had been building up a ‘fancy place’ that he thought served a very good Reuben. “We will try it the next time I am in Denver”, I told him. That time finally arrived and he, his wife, my other son and I went to try out YaYa's. They offer valet parking and have linen towels in the bathroom, so they are ‘fancy’ to us. My youngest son arrived wearing shorts and commented that he felt under-dressed…..
The $13 Reuben comes served with a pickle spear, as well as your choice of a few sides, of which I chose the fries. There were also two stainless steel serving cups on the plate, one containing Ketchup and the other containing their home-made Rueben thousand island dressing. I was slightly disappointed thinking that this was the 2nd place in a row that was letting me determine how much dressing I wanted on my sandwich, but that was not the case as there was already dressing inside the sandwich. I am guessing it would be for use in dipping your fries or putting more onto the sandwich if you wanted- it is quite good. The corned beef had been slightly grilled on the edges and was tender but not moist- very good though. There could have been more of it. Same could have been said of the Swiss cheese- it could have used another slice or two, but you could still taste it. Just the right of sauerkraut was used. The Rye bread was just a tad bit on the crispy side of the spectrum- the crust was fine. Altogether a decent sandwich, I would grade it a B-
