Here are some photos from Carlsbad Caverns that I took in May of 2010. All photos were taken along the self-guided routes which include the Natural Entrance and the Big Room. In addition to the regular photographs I have included six 360 degree equirectangular images that allow for seeing the big view of the place. One challenging part of cave photography is concerned with white balance. The formations are of course lit with multi-colored lights and I wanted to make sure this lighting came through. Since I take photos in raw I was able to play with color temperature to get the formations looking like how I remembered them and as my notes indicated. This cave system is huge and these photos don't depict the scale of this place well. Nevertheless, I still hope you enjoy the photos.
All images were taken with a Canon T1i with various L lenses.
