These photos were taken in Fry Canyon, Shillelagh Canyon (left fork), and Leprechaun Canyon while on a two week trip in 2011. Fry Canyon was a short but fun technical canyon with a bit of water at the bottom of the slot. There was plenty of wading and a few areas that required swimming. A single rappel was required at one point. I enjoyed Fry Canyon so much that when I was in the area a few days later I did it again.
Shillelagh (left fork) required two rappels with the longest being 90 feet. After that came plenty of fun downclimbing.
A single photo from Leprechaun Canyon is in here but I didn't have time on this trip to do any of the technical forks.
These canyons were done solo. To photo myself I had to set up the camera, start its 10 second timer, and jump back into the water in the slots. It's was a little stagy but required. The camera (Digital Rebel XT) was kept in a drybag to keep it and the lenses from getting wet. Most of the images were taken in 800 ISO out of necessity and had to be handheld. The first time I was in Fry Canyon I forgot to bring the tripod plate for the camera although I brought the tripod. The second time I forgot the tripod but remembered the plate. Doh!
