A pattern from 1994 for a pullover ankle-length dress or knee-length tunic with front and back gathered into a round yoke, side-seam pockets and short sleeves. Also optional elastic-waisted pants and headwrap. Although illustrated in African fabric, this basic muumuu pattern also works well in a Hawaiian print. It is a less elaborate pattern than some muumuus, and works well as loungewear or even a nightdress.
My fabric is a Hawaiian print with a brown background, purchased online from Hawaiian Fabric Shop (now closed).
Other than shortening the long version of the dress by 7cm (3in), I made no design or size changes.
