The pants of this ensemble pattern are three-quarter length and cropped with wide, straight legs, a narrow waistband, a pocket on the right-hand side and a zipper on the left. My fabric is blue, black and cream striped cotton with a wide embroidered border at the hem, sold as a skirt length, in Laos. It is intended to be used as a traditional Lao skirt, but I preferred to make pants, and there was just enough fabric. It is flimsy and frayed horribly.
The finished pants are satisfactory except for lack of wearing ease in the hip. I would make this pattern again but in a sturdier fabric.
