This pattern is for a T-shirt made in woven fabrics but cut on the bias. View A has a round neck and view B has a V neck. I made view A but lengthened it by 6cm to be the same length as view B. Later I trimmed some of this extra length as I did not like the look as much as I expected to.
Fitting was not easy as this garment requires a precise fit in the bust and shoulders. The neck stretched outwards at the back, partly because the bias-cut fabric had stretched in handling. Two small vertical darts near the shoulder blades fixed that. Extra fullness above the vertical downward bust darts also needed to be taken in.
To prevent the fabric stretching when I turned up the hem, I applied spray starch to the fabric to stabilize it and make it easier to handle. This was successful as I was able to turn up the hem without difficulty.
