A 1974 pattern for a dressing gown or dress. I made it in a navy blue Hawaiian poplin printed with ropes of flowers. Matching patterns would have been difficult, so I just placed two of the thicker ropes at centre left and centre right on the front, and didn't try to match elsewhere. Shape comes from the gown's flared side and centre back seams and from two vertical darts pointing down on either side of the neck. The unnotched collar is easy to make, and the whole garment can be run up quickly. Although a vintage pattern, it uses the conventions of recent patterns, with cutting and stitching lines and notches printed on the tissue. It appears on eBay sometimes.
