This misses' pattern for a caftan, tunic and pants was published in 2002 and is out of print. I have made the pants and now the caftan. My fabric is a smooth poplin with a stylized floral design.
I made size XL as it seems nearest to my measurements, but it is a loose fit, especially in the neck and shoulders, and next time I could either alter it or even make a size smaller. The front slit is very deep and has ended up lower than I would like. Nevertheless I could happily make this pattern again (with size adjustments), both the caftan and the tunic.

I have now made a second version of this caftan, inspired by Simplicity 7521 (copyright 1976; out of print). This time I cut the neck, shoulders and armholes a size smaller but left the body the same size. I also cut the neck slit 5cm (2in) higher than stipulated. These changes have been a success; the resulting fit is an improvement on my first version.
