The day trip to Kassel was totally unplanned. When I travelled to Germany, I usually used Munich, Frankfurt, or Berlin as a hub, and made day trips by train from there. My original destination was forecasted to have heavy rain that day, so I had to check if there was a city or town in the opposite direction where the weather would be good. That was how Kassel came up as a candidate. I googled to search for the tourist attraction to know that there was a castle.... ok, decided.
When I arrived at the castle, it was crowded. I happened to be there during their annual Classic Cars Trade Fair, the biggest one in Germany. Just like the FC Bayern Parade, I got a chance to photograph that parade because I went into the Presidenz to avoid the pouring rain.
