Bayreuth

Bayreuth is a town in northern Bavaria, Germany. The nobility of Bayreauth, called margraves, were the ones who brought success to Bayreuth in architecture starting from the 17th century. Margrave was a title somewhat equivalent to the rank of a marquess. .
Who made Bayreuth famous in a cultural and historical sense, was Margrave Frederick of Brandenburg-Bayreuth, after he married Princess Wilhemine, the sister of the ruler of the important province of Prussia. Besides reconstructing the Hermitage Park, the Old Palace and the Court Garden, she also built the New Palace and the Large Pond. They built the Margravial Opera House. More than a hundred years later, composer Richard Wagner created the Bayreuth Festival, which has become an annual significant cultural event, and attracts opera enthusiasts from around the world
