Pillnitz

Pillnitz is a city quarter in the east of Dresden. The tourists go there mainly to see the castle, which consists of the Riverside Palace, the Upper Palace and the New Palace. The Upper Palace is the nicest one, also the most famous because of its Chinese styled architecture and the colourful decors.

I went there in 2011, on the same day I went to Meissen with 4 friends, but I didn't post these photos at the same time I did those of Meissen because I had intended to set up an album grouping all the German palaces together. However, I realized that there might be too many, so now I decided to separate each palace trip to avoid causing confusion.
