Perhaps my expectation was too high, but I had not expected so much construction going on in Hamburg when I went there. However, other than the cranes and the construction sites along the harbour, what impressed me most was the magnificent city hall (photo 07 - 13). Sure it's one of the prettiest in Europe that I have seen.
