Luebeck (Lübeck) is a town in Northern Germany. Among all the medieval towns I have visited, Lübeck has the most stunning city gate - Holsten Gate, or known as the crooked gate. It's another UNESCO site of Germany. When it emerged before my eyes the first time, I was simply frozen for a second seeing how grand it was.
In front of the city gate park there's a pair of lion statues. The interesting part if that one of the lion is alert, staring at his partner who's asleep.
The city gate impressed me so much that a few years later, when I was in Hamburg, the massive road construction along the harbour area and the narrow and crowded paths made me decide to leave. I'd rather take the train from there to Luebeck to see the gate one more time.
