Chemla-Lamèch: Carte Topographique de la Lune (1934)
Félix Chemla-Lamèch (11 January 1894 - 14 May 1962) was a Greek-French astronomer and Freemason.
He published this charming moon atlas in 1934 in which he introduced names for some Lunar craters.
When the International Astronomical Union published, in 1935, a new list with nomenclature for the Moon, it became clear that eight of his proposals had made it (Baillaud, Blagg, Darney, Delmotte, Deseilligny, Müller, Neison and Turner), but 17 others didn't.
Another (Montanari) was also accepted, but the actual proposal came from someone else (Philippe Fauth).
Check his wikipedia page - he had a remarkable life.
His last name is sometimes written as "Chemla-Lamèch" and sometimes as "Chemla Lamèch". For this gallery I will use "Chemla-Lamèch".
