Chemla-Lamèch named some craters after notable people he knew from France.
Two particular craters were named "Rudaux", after Lucien Rudaux, and "Schlumberger", after René Schlumberger.
However, in 1935 the IAU (International Astronomical Union) didn't accept these designation;
"Rudaux" was designated 2484 "Landsberg C" and "Schlumberger" was designated 2483 "Landsberg D". Current ID's: 10627 and 10628 (2006).
Lucien Rudaux (1874-1947) was a French artist and astronomer, who created famous paintings of space themes in the 1920s and 1930s.
René Schlumberger (1881-1955) was a French amateur astronomer.
