Chemla-Lamèch named some craters after notable people he knew from Corfu, where he had founded the Corfu Observatory in 1924.
This particular crater was named "Kephalinos", after (first name?) Kephalinos.
However, in 1935 the IAU (International Astronomical Union) didn't accept this designation; it was designated 460 "Hercules F". Current ID: 9893 (2006).
He also named some craters after notable people he knew from France.
This particular crater was named "Dominique", after Abbé Dominique.
However, in 1935 the IAU (International Astronomical Union) didn't accept this designation; it was designated 453 "Hercules A". Current name: Keldysh, ID: 2980 (1982).
