Welcome to my photos of the St. Michael's College 2009 varsity softball season! Katelyn's a junior at SMC in 09, and it looks like she will patrol centerfield for the Purple Knights again this season ... though a mid-season move has her at SS some as well. Her biceps tendon will again keep her off the mound, but her heart keeps her on the field!

The 09 Mikes are a great group -- play hard, work hard, pleasant to be around -- led by Seniors MegO and AshleyH. Mike's also features two of Kater's BFAComet/VTRocket teammates (HS/ASA), Heather and Hillary, and a roster full of new friends for us to root for. They're fun to watch -- and very patient with the paparazzi. :-) Plus, we really enjoy their families on the sidelines!

I'm blessed to have the flexibility to go to most of the games, so I'll try and get photographs of all the players in action for families and friends around they country who can't make particular games ... SMC had 3 seasons, it seems -- a 4&6 start, an 0-16 slide, and an 8&6 finish -- this team never gave up, persevered, and their persistence paid off ... Bravo! ... 5th most wins in program history ... AshH made 1st Team NE-10 All Stars, MegO made 3rd Team NE-10 All Stars, and Katelyn made 3rd Team NE-10 All Stars as well as ESPN The Magazine's 2nd Team All-Academic All-Stars for the Northeast District.
