St. Mike's dropped a pair of close games to SoConn: 4-3 in the opener, as they battled back to get the bases loaded in the 6th but came up one hit short of a win in a thrilling comeback; and 4-1 in the nightcap, with Kate driving in MegC with a double to right for the score. The Purple Knights played good defense, had solid pitching, and made solid contact at the plate - just came up short on the scoreboard. Kate nailed a runner at home from Center with a one hop bullet to Heather, added a sneaky steal of 3rd their catcher framed a pitch trying to milk a call ... Heather added a pair of doubles on the day; Lindsay & AshleyH had a double play as did KellyL & KateC.
