I visited Jamaica for a week with my tour company Quetzal Tours. Our group was hosted by Green Castle Estate, located in St. Mary Parish on the north coast of Jamaica (north of Kingston). We were guided by Dwayne Swaby. Destinations included Blue Mountains National Park and Ecclesdown Road in the John Crow Mountains (east end of the island). Most of our time was spent in the 1600-acre reserve at Green Castle Estate. The trip list was 105 species, of which I observed 103 (34 life birds). Photographs of 47 species of birds (including 18 endemic species and 3 endemic subspecies) are showcased here.
