Jamaican Tody

GREEN CASTLE ESTATE

This is the smallest of the five Tody species found throughout the Greater Antilles (and the only one found on Jamaica), just 3.5" in length. This was Nick Jr.'s most wanted bird of the trip. They were pretty common. We had them on most outings. These birds are most closely related to Motmots, more distantly to Kingfishers. [xeno-canto]

other sizes: small medium large auto
