The reservoir at Green Castle Estate requires a 3 mile hike from the Estate House, but well worth it for the great variety of birds seen at the reservoir, and in the varied habitats along the way (forests, pastures, farm area). Species of birds hiding in this photo include Black-necked Stilt, American Coot, American Wigeon and Blue-winged Teal. This was the only location where we observed American Wigeon (and several other species) during the tour. We only hike downhill, and got a ride back uphill. Ebird checklist (59 species) for this outing is here.
