The exterior siding and windows started going up the week of June 11th. The next week the cedar posts for the porch were installed and the rest of the windows were put in. Some exterior painting also started that week.

Things are looking pretty good there, you two have been busy!! At least that keeps you out of trouble!!
Glad you took a day off, everyone needs to take a break once in awhile. We had a good breakfast at Darlene's today, then we sat and gabbed. Peg called and said it was snowing and starting to make everything white so we thought we had better head for home. Anyway, Darlene was supposed to go to Greg's for dinner (we were) ,too, but after we knew it was snowing at home we thought better of it and cancelled out and headed for Shelton. It is snowing hard and geting pretty out there, trees are hanging heavy and the ground is white...probably no more than 1/2 to 1 inch so far but from the size of those flakes it will be piling up fast!!.
Keep up the good work on that mansion you are building. You can both apply for a contractors business now that you are learning how to do everything. Ha! You prpbably can't wait to get back to work so you can rest up.
Do you have anymore trips out of the States coming up, Steve? All the time you are gone you are probably thinking about what you could be doing on your house.
Guess I will close and go watch it snow! Maybe I can try out my new snow boots that Darlene got me for Xmas. Greg and Chris are getting married over in Leavenworth on the 12th of Jan. and there is so much sbow there now, I doubt if my boots will be high enough...and they are getting married outside down by the River! Whew! I can't believe I agreed to go, but I will go do my best. Probably fall on my butt and melt all the snow, then I won't have to worry about it!! :-)
All for now. Love you, Gram & Gramps
