Ai Li, my apologies for taking so long to view this gallery. I've begun by viewing it as a slideshow (I'll get to individual images as soon as I can). Knowing the depth of your compassion for people allows us to see the world from your viewpoint. A few commentors have mentioned a sense of intimacy in these images, and I agree. As a whole, the gallery is sensitive and yet has a certain tongue in cheek quality that is a reflection of your artistic talent and your unique way of looking at the world around you. Congratulations on producing a cohesive narrative of daily life. Whether your subjects are interacting directly with us, or looking at something out of the frame, we want to explore further and follow their gaze, to be a part of the story. Jenene

I totally agree with the words of Phil. Presentation and result of this black and white gallery is absolutely wonderful to me. Strong in human values and so perfectly descriptive. I felt that I was among the people you photographed, inside the atmosphere of Paris. Furthermore whole project was like an exhibition (photos hanged on the wall), with an artistic touch in every piece of it and this is the most I like. You always manage to give us works of exceptional quality. Bravo Ai Li.

I have just seen the finished gallery, and treasure your photographs for both their content and the way you have organized them in the frame. You continue to mature as an artist before our eyes by consistently taking the most ordinary subjects and making them extraordinary, often just by where you choose to stand and how you choose to frame or crop the image. Your photography is so rich in intimacy and human values, reflecting the deep respect and love you manage to bring to your subject matter.
