Just going back through your Paris photos to fire me up for this weekend. Well said by David, I'd missed the connection between the cone and the tower here. Fantastic photo.

One large cone pointing up ... one small cone, about to be devoured, pointing down. Fabulous! A sort of symmetry around the middle head, on both horizontal and vertical axes. Oh, and the wide angle makes this tower reach up into the sky, just as it should.

I see that you used Ade's wide very well... it is not very forgiving for the poor people in the front though.

What an absolutely fantastic use of a wide angle. This is one of the best shots I've maybe ever seen. You've taken a familiar subject (the tower) and made something look so unfamiliar in a very realistic way...since we've all seen wide angle shots. And those people...so average looking, sitting there totally unaware of what happened to the tower. In another sense it almost looks as though the tower has given birth to them...and they don't even know it...or care. At first it looks kind of humorous...then there's something more...almost a sadness..almost a fatalism. It has something very powerfully human in it. This is one of those walking the wire shots to me. Like a tighrope...and it has all the balance. Just great!!!

Excellent angle! The three at the bottom almost remind me of Larry, Moe and Curly!
