The White-fronted Bee-eater is an elegant member of the Bee-eater family. It is quite similar in appearnace to the Red-throated Bee-eater but can be distinguides by the white on the forehead and cheeks. It is always found near to water prefering wide slow moving rivers with steep mud banks for nest holes. These birds were photographed at Shakawe Lodge, Botswana where they are a resident attraction in the lodge garden.
