Red-billed Spurfowl

(pternistes adspersus)
The Red-billed Spurfowl (or Red-billed Francolin) is endemic to Namibia, Botswana and the extreme south of Angola. However, within its range it is quite common and more easily seen than other francolin species being much less of a skulker than others. We found these birds in many locations. Photographs taken at Gammams water treatment plant near Windhoek, at Epako Lodge and at Waterberg National Park.
