Double-banded Courser

(rhinoptilus africanus)
The Double-banded Courser is a small courser with a prominent black double band across its chest. It is often active at night. It is commonly found in stony arid and desert areas. This bird was photographed at Etosha National Park. It is clearly feeling the heat.
