Chocolate-backed Kingfisher

The Chocolate-backed Kingfisher is only found in forests and is not particularly associated with water. It has a fairly distinct far carrying call so it is more often seen than heard. Once located it often will sit still on a perch for a while allowing close approach if you are lucky. These photos were taken in typically gloomy forest locations.
