Rufous-naped (Malbrant's) Lark

(mirafra africana)
A large savanna lark which is widespread throughout much of Africa but with considerable geographic variations. This is the ssp m a malbranti which is found only in SE Gabon, Congo and Zaire. The Sinclair and Ryan field guide treat this as a seperate species called Malbrant's Lark.
