(anthus pallidventris)
The Long-legged Pipit is an elegant pipit whose population is restricted to a few countries in WC Africa. It is fairly unmistakable with its long legs, upright stance and bold white supercillium. It is found in typical pipit habitats of grasslands and forest clearings. These photos were all taken at Gavilo Lodge in Loango NP where several of these birds were always present on the grassy lawns around the lodge. We also saw this species at Lope NP and at Franceville airport.
